Dan Forshaw - The Cavehill Stomp

from Metanarrative by Dan Forshaw

/

about

This track is a New Orleans style 'stomp'. The Cavehill is a hill overlooking the city of Belfast, a city known for marching that leads to trouble. In New Orleans the city marches for many reasons, but not usually those that are contentious - and they don't have riots...My thoughts when composing this piece (and performing it) are 'What if Belfast could learn to march like New Orléans?'
